Waikiki Catamaran Cruise

Mana Kai. In the Hawaiian language means “Spirit of the Sea”. Offering seven unique voyages located in waikiki, our variety of sails should meet the needs of every guest. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or thrill seeking, this is an adventure that’s truly a must do for the entire family. We work extremely hard because we aim to please and provide a wonderful experience that will create a memory that you will remember for a lifetime. Bring aboard the drinks of your choice and enjoy a catamaran cruise on the beautiful waters of Waikiki, we will not disappoint. Private charters are also available and may be customized to make it a perfect sailing experience to fit your every need.

Marine Life Sail:
Come aboard the Manakai for our marine life sail and enjoy the ocean breeze and pristine Hawaiian waters. We will sail along the Waikiki coast towards diamond head and on the way we may encounter marine life. During this time we have the best chances to come across Turtles and pods of Dolphins racing alongside the boat. During the winter months (November-April) we will sail along and spot humpback whales and their calfs breaching putting on an entertaining show. (Marine life isn't guaranteed)

Tradewinds Sail:
Come aboard the Manakai during our afternoon sail. At this time the trade winds pick up and will push us at a faster speed. You'll experience a faster cruise toward diamond head and into deeper waters outside Waikiki where the Humpback whales hang out (seasonal). If your a thrill seeker jump on the cargo net and hold on for a wet ride. Marine life can still be sighted throughout the sail.

Sunset Sail:
We have the most beautiful sunsets in the world and you'll have a clear view from the water on the Manakai. Our sunset sail is by far a must for anyone visiting Hawaii. We will sail out from Waikiki and on our return we will park on the water. Enjoy the breath taking view of the sun reflecting off our Hawaiian waters creating sunsets like no other. Don't forget your cameras!

Fireworks Sail:
Welcome aboard the Manakai on our Friday night firework sail. The spectacular night view of Honolulu city with the surrounding Ko'olau mountain range is breath taking. Witness the sky light up with Mahina (Hawaiian for "Moon") and beautiful back drop of the Waikiki coast. To top off your evening you'll partake in an incredible firework display with front row seating on deck. (Please be present at the loading zone by 6:45pm. The boat may not be there due to its previous sail times being so close. Just sit tight. We will be there shortly and we won't forget about you. Departure times may vary roughly 15 mins but never before schedule)

About the Mana Kai:

Mana Kai Catamaran was built in 1977 by William Brown in Honolulu, Hawaii. Inspired by his father, Waikiki beach boy, surfing, sailing, and soaring legend, Woody Brown who built the very first modern day catamaran (Manu Kai) William decided to build a boat of his own. Standing 32 feet long and 16 feet wide, the Mana Kai can accommodate up to 26 passengers. Our famous Hawaiian Rainbow sail, lounge net and a pleasant sound system adds to your sailing pleasure. We are an environmentally friendly, USCG certified vessel. Our catamaran is located on Waikiki Beach in front of the world famous Duke Statue and beach front of the Hyatt Regency Hotels. Reservations are welcome online, by phone, or walk up (subject to availability). Come join us on your next sailing experience an explore Waikiki in style!

Which we was nice cause they told us all the hot spots. And the view! What can I say breathtaking, we did the sunset cruise. DOPE! Would ... moredefinitely hit em up next time we're in town!! You can tell these guys work hard to make sure you are enjoying yourself. Highly recommend them. Sunset cruises are prime in Hawaii. Lucky for us we found these guys! We were approached kindly, explained what we would do, timing and let's not forget to BYOB! Awesome to bring what we wanted, be able to make friends, and see a beautiful tour afar. Got a history lesson about the island and listened to great tunes. I would recommend this to everyone. Get a little taste of local life, friendly tour ... moreguides, and not a bunch of people on the boat. Support local! Way better then the crowded yellow boats across from me! Ha. Have fun, Cheers!!

I took my mother on this catamaran and she had a blast! The guys working were super hilarious and played music that my moms generation seemed to really enjoy. The water was a bit choppy, and we were definitely bouncing around for quite some time. There was plenty of people that got completely soaked from head to toe. From where we sat we stayed pretty dry at least! I would definitely suggest wearing ... morea swimsuit under your clothes. The employees mentioned that occasionally they will stop and let people go for a swim, but the seas were a little to choppy. Although the rough seas was not expected, it was still a really beautiful day and a wonderful view of the south side of the island. My mom loved the Mai Tai's that were available and enjoyed conversations with the guys working. I will definitely bring back friends and family when they are in town so they can also enjoy this experience!

I went with a bunch of girlfriends and we had such an amazing time! We were able to see a seal and a turtle which was super neat. We were able to bring our own booze which is awesome because the other booze cruises, you're kinda just stuck drinking whatever they have stocked. The crew were incredibly accommodating even offering to carry my friend onto the boat since she wasn't exactly wearing practical ... moreshoes. We were able to jump off at one point for a few minutes before going back to shore. Highly highly recommend.

I made last minute reservations on Father's Day for my husband, 3 kids and I. We had a great time. The guys are really laid back and cool to talk story with. We arrived 20 minutes early. The boat was anchored on the shore and they let us get on it early to hang out and wait to take off. The kids had a blast sitting on the front net getting soaked! We also saw a turtle from a distance so they pulled ... moreup just a little bit closer for us to get a better view it. Gorgeous views while sipping on our drinks they allow us to bring.

My Mum and I did the 9am sail and it was awesome. The staff were lovely and answered all of our questions. The views were amazing and a lovely way to see Waikiki from the water. We especially enjoyed going out on the net and my Mum who is 85 came on the net too! We will be back in Honolulu in September and we will be doing another sail with ManaKai Catamaran. I highly recommend this company to one ... moreand all and I tell any of my friends and family who are visiting Waikiki to book with this company.

This was the first booze cruise we've been on. I decided to invite our friends to go for my boyfriends birthday. It was so much fun!!!! Totally worth the money. Captain Woody and Brandon were so nice to wait an extra 10 minutes for our friends that had a hard time finding parking. We loved the Sunset sail and got tons of pictures! Mahalo for everything! Will be doing this again!

My parents and I took a sunset sail on our last night in Hawaii and we were not disappointed! It was the perfect time to sail and see the beautiful Waikiki sunset. The captain woody and Brandon were awesome! Very friendly, respectful and professional! Highly recommend this if you are looking for something chill with a view! It was well worth the money not to say reasonable price too!

Great Catamaran experience in Waikiki Hawaii. I'll be back in October and plan to go again! If you want to get a really fun ride lay out in front and hang on. I wouldn't suggest that for young children as it's pretty rough at times. So much fun on beautiful turquoise water!

These guys are great. They give you some history if your interested. Great trip with this family run business. They provide some tunes while on board to view the gorgeous sites as well as an ice chest for your beverage of choice. One of the highlights of our trip for sure. Will definitely recommend and use these guys again. Super friendly staff. Had a blast.

My kids had a blast with this activity. They jumped on the net and spent the whole trip in there. Staff is easy going and super friendly. We did the tradewind catamaran and it was a nice ride towards Diamond Head.  If you want to relax for an hour and just chill while looking at the ocean, this is your place. Good price, good service and good staff.

Captain Curtis is amazing and wonderful. We came on Sunday morning and the boat was pretty full. He allowed me to steer the boat for a bit and that just made my morning. We also saw Dolphins and were told we could jump in but were warned it was mating season lol I would recommend this to anyone coming out to Waikiki and want a family friendly trip. The guys were very chill. We brought snacks and etc.

We got lucky.  Saw about a dozen dolphins swimming around AND a huge turtle. We were told this doesn't happen that often so we were super thankful to have that experience. We were simply expecting a relaxing boat ride, which would have been nice enough.  $25 for the early bird ride (around 9:00am) and $30 for the rest of the day. They take you around for about an hour.... more

Our guides, Brewsky and Woody (hope I got the spelling right) were really cool. Apparently this was the first catamaran out on Waikiki beach. Just look for the rainbow sail!
