Description:

With its diverse population of marine life, as well as a large and rich coral reef, Hanauma Bay was declared an official protected Marine Life Conservation Area and underwater park in 1967, making this stunning natural wonder a "must see!" For anyone wanting to experience the best of Oahu, this is a tour that should not be missed!

Within the bay's calm waters, you can swim through a coral reef with more than 450 species of vibrant tropical fish, a quarter of which are native to Hawaii.

Past customer Marcus writes, "The water is very clear once you get away from the beach. … You can feel the waves but it is a very easy swim."

TOUR PACKAGE

Includes round-trip transportation from Waikiki (about 30 minutes each way), professional-grade, sanitized equipment (silicon-tempered mask, J-type snorkel, and endurance vinyl acetate fins), and expert instruction. Mask defogger is also available upon request.

* Note: the $7.50 admission charge to Hanauma Bay is not included. The entrance fee is waived for children under 13, members of the military (ID required), and for residents of Hawaii with proof of residency.

Optional snorkeling accessories are available for an additional cost - including underwater cameras, dry snorkels, corrective lens masks, and flotation vests - or you can bring your own gear if you prefer.

HELPFUL HINTS

Bring a swimsuit, a towel, and sunscreen! Lockers are available for a fee, and drinks/meals can be purchased at the snack bar or in the Hanauma Bay tour office.

Also, don't forget to bring $7.50 for the Hanauma Bay admission fee (children 12 and under are free) - this is NOT included in the tour price. Admission is collected on location by the State of Hawaii and all proceeds go toward the upkeep of Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.

Hanauma Bay is closed on Tuesdays and all State Holidays. During the summer, there may be a wait time to get in - it tends to be especially busy on Mondays and Wednesdays. All participants are required to watch a short Nature Conservancy Video before entering Hanauma Bay; the video is less than 10 minutes long.

Frequently Asked Questions
Choose the tour you are interested in, click the red “Book It” button adjacent to the tour information, and complete the booking form.
While we can usually accommodate most last-minute bookings, we highly encourage those that are checking out our website far in advance to book 2-3 weeks prior to desired date. You never know if there's a convention, special event, or a increase in overall visitors in town, and it would be a shame if the activities that you want to do are sold out because you waited until the last minute. Basically, if you know you want to do it, just book it!
Most companies have a set of centrally located hotels that they do pick ups from. This makes the pickup process short so you can start the tour as soon as possible!

Snorkling at the Hanauma Bay is a must during a visit to Oahu. The water is crystal clear, and the fish are plentiful. One of the better snorkle locations in the Pacific.

This is a must do on your trip! My wife and I had a great time snorkeling at the bay there are so many things to see under the water. It is truly beautiful and the photos we took above and below the water were just spectacular. Would recommend using company transportation as is faster and easier to get in and out of the park. If you are worried about you valuables they have lockers you can rent but ... morewe just left our stuff on the beach and didn't have any issues. And don't let the walk down deter you from going they have a tram for going up and down for a small fee. They do charge for admission to the park but you will see where that money goes once you are there.
