Get your video and still cameras ready, because we’ll see with Dolphins (Nai’a), Whales (Kohola) [in season], Green Sea Turtles (Honu), and Flying Fish (Malolo) along the way! When we do meet up with the dolphins and whales, we’ll stop the boat, and sit with them as our knowledgeable crew will tell you everything you want to know about these amazing and beautiful creatures.

After an exciting ride up the coast, we’ll enjoy an hour of snorkeling in the pristine waters off Oahu's western coastline. We provide the best of snorkeling equipment for you to enjoy as you swim in the sparkling blue water of Makua amongst unspoiled reef and sea life where no other tours take you.

The Kai 'Oli'Oli is certified by the US Coast Guard to comfortably accommodate up to 49 passengers and several crew.
During the whale watching season (December through April), we definitely look for whales on every cruise. In fact, these beautifully majestic creatures are so plentiful on our coastline, we actually guarantee that you will see dolphins or whales on any of our Morning Calm and Afternoon Adventure cruises!
Yes! At no extra charge, we provide high-quality snorkel gear and instructional guidance for beginners.
Non-alcoholic beverages such as water, soft drinks, and Hawaiian juices are included. Alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine, mai tais and margaritas are also included (limit 4 per adult).

H Tours Hawaii is a "one stop shop" for all the best activities in the Hawaiian Islands. Since we work with many providers, reservations are necessary. WE HIGHLY recommend making reservations, as many activities are at a discount when you reserve in advance. Some providers even charge higher for those "walking in" because they know chances are you're not going to walk away. Finally, a reservation ensures you have a space on the tour. Trust us you don't want to spend so much time and money to come to Hawaii and then miss out on an activity because they were booked out!

Most companies, if not all, require you to call them if you're trying to book something 2-3 days in advance. Do you really want to be spending your valuable time in Hawaii calling around to desperately find something that is available to do? While we can usually accommodate most last-minute bookings, we highly encourage those that are checking out our website far in advance to book 2-3 weeks prior to desired date. You never know if there's a convention, special event, or an increase in overall visitors in town, and it would be a shame if the activities that you want to do are sold out because you waited until the last minute. Basically, if you know you want to do it, just book it!
Most companies have a set of centrally located hotels that they do pick ups from. When you select your hotel in the booking page, you will see the pickup location and directions. This makes the pickup process short so you can start the tour as soon as possible!
Gratuity is never required but if you enjoyed your experience, a tip is always greatly appreciated!

Overall:
We took a cruise on 1 January 2016 and it was one of the best parts of our trip. The crew was fantastic and the trip itself was amazing. We got to see whales; including one that breached the surface. We got the photo package and it was well worth it to be able to enjoy the trip and not worry about catching all the photo ops. We got great pictures because we told the photographer before we started ... moreout that we would be buying the package. Then we got to snorkel with fish and sea turtles and ended the day with a great buffet and drinks. It really was amazing. Thanks so much!!!

It was nice day out! Booking was easy, ALL staff was friendly and very hospitable. We got the morning tour and it was fun! Boat was clean and not crowded. They offered morning snacks, coffee and some refreshments. Snorkeling for at least an hour - saw fishes, turtles and dolphins. Then they provided lunch w/ drinks (cocktails, beers, everything!)... more
You didn't have to bring anything, just towels.
It was a fun experience. :)

From our bus ride with Brandon to our journey aboard the Kai'Oli'Oli with Captain Jen, our group had a great time. Brandon was very informative and passionate about his homeland, and gave us a great rundown of local landmarks in Oahu and Hawaiian history as we drove from Waikiki to Ko Olina, where the harbor is for Ocean Joy's catamarans.... more

This was probably the highlight of our 5-day vacation in Oahu, given the price point (about $130-150 per person) and what you get on this half-day trip:
- 45 minute bus ride to Ko Olina and 45 minute bus ride back to Waikiki (driver very efficiently coordinated all the hotel stops and basically dropped us off at the doorsteps)
- dolphin watching (the captain and crew knew exactly where to find the pods, which had very active dolphins)
- snorkeling with turtles and schools of fish; overall, getting to see the active sea life
- buffet style lunch (kalua pig/pulled pork and chicken burgers; fresh fruit and salad; water, juice, and soda; as well as alcoholic beverages)
- photos taken by a professional (available for purchase at the end of the journey)

Other thoughts:
- The catamaran was really clean, had hot water for rinsing off after snorkeling, and two well-kept bathrooms
- Driver, captain, and crew were all very personable and informative, and they all put our safety first
- There's flexibility in terms of what you must wear for the snorkeling -- meaning, you are only required to wear a life vest (that you can keep inflated or deflated), and the rest (goggles/snorkel and fins) are optional. (It was nice to just take the gear off and float/swim around in the open water freely for a while.)

Overall, highly recommend to anyone who has not been snorkeling before, or is looking for something fun to do while in Oahu.

Unbelievably amazing experience!! The crew were wonderful, highly entertaining and very knowledgable. I highly recommend these guys to anyone cause we had a great day, saw the Dolphins, the fish and a stray turtle and manta ray!! Awesome day!

Had the time of my life when we enjoyed an afternoon cruise. Saw turtles, whales and dolphins. Also the reef and fish. Amazing experience. We could not fault the crew. We have shared our experience with our travel agent and I hope it is shared with many more people who are planning a holiday in Hawaii. Highly recommend this to everyone.

This is one of the greatest adventures we took and you cant beat the price! The crew was awesome! We saw whales, dolphins, turtles and tropical fish. And for $40 you get a usb drive full of pictures of this awesome adventure!

Enjoyed every minute. Captain was very helpful as well as the crew. They were very attentive to the guest. Drinks were great and included in the package. We were able to see dolphins and whales. Not to mention snorkeling with the turtles and fish. PS the food was good also.
