Large Turtles at Park

Sea Life Park

Description:

For many visitors to Hawaii, a day at the Sea Life Park is a dream come true. The hardest part of the day will be deciding how to get it all into one day.

One of the ways people’s dreams come true is that they can swim with the dolphins at the park. In addition, visitors can help feed the sea lions, as well as teach many other forms of Hawaiian mammals. Watch shows performed by sea lions, dolphins, and penguins as you get the chance to interact with their caretakers.

The fun does not stop there. Watch belly dancers and interact one-on-one with the dancers as they help you learn your own dances. Use real banana leaves to weave your own headbands in traditional Hawaii style. Learn to toss a spear as the great Hawaiian warriors did.

When the evening is done, then feast on an all-you-can-eat Hawaiian buffet featuring traditional Hawaiian dishes like Kalua pork, Lomi Lomi salmon, Mahi Mahi, and poi from recipes that have been passed down in families for centuries.

If you are afraid that you will be stuck on a deserted island someday, then fear no more. When you come to the Sea Life Park, you will learn to run two sticks together to start your own fire.

Best luau ever
Overall:
Best luau ever! All the extra sights are forgetable. The food was okay and plentiful. But the staff and the performers were outstanding! Definately the highlight of our family's trip to Hawaii. Fantastic show led by a great showman.

Nice establishment, quite expensive to buy pictures from the swimtour with dolphins
Overall:
Nice establishment, quite expensive to buy pictures from the swimtour with dolphins. The animals are well treated and the relative small size of the park is apealing with great scenery from the mountains. The bus ride to the park was fine but back was very bad, instead of driving the same circle in Waikiki area he drove 4 circles in small one way streets in 1 hour.

Its a bit disappointing to see very few exhibits, especially the penguin exhibit, with only 1 penguin
Overall:
Its a bit disappointing to see very few exhibits, especially the penguin exhibit, with only 1 penguin! My son and his family came here on vacation expecting to see much more than expected. As a kamaaina, $20 fee too high! The bird exhibit was closed due to unknown reasons..The oceanarium show was the same and no penguin show? Why is parking being charged? Isnt it part of the admission of the park?Otherwise, the ... moreocean and mountain view gorgeous!!The weather was hot and humid but a beautiful day!

The price is rediculous for the amount of exhibits they have
Overall:
The price is rediculous for the amount of exhibits they have. It's takes about two hours to get through everything before you're done, that's even taking you time to do everything! The attractions that they do have are pretty cool- a dolphin show, a sea lion show, and petting small sharks and turtles. But they don't have enough to make a real day of it and everything is so expensive it's not really ... moreworth the price. If you really have your heart set on it, I would advise trying to find a coupon.

Not enough attractions for the $30 entrance fee
Overall:
Not enough attractions for the $30 entrance fee. With the limited amount of exhibits, some even closed down for parts of the day really limiting what you could do. For example the Cafe at 12:30.

This is the best sea life around
Overall:
This is the best sea life around. It literally boasts one of the best views I have ever seen. Situated against a backdrop of the mountains and the crystal blue waters you instantly feel relaxed when you arrive at this park. Ideal for all ages to admire marine life the highlights are being able to swim with dolphins.

I had a tremendously fun day here
Overall:
I had a tremendously fun day here. I had a chance to pet a baby sea turtle, buy some veggies to feed the adult sea turtles, and did the underwater shark adventure, where they attach you to a snuba suit and you go down into the shark tank with several hammerheads and white tip sharks (you're separated from them by a fence). There's also an enormous stingray in the tank that the trek leader will feed. ... moreIt was a little expensive (100$ for a 25 minute experience where you didn't really do much but go down into the tank, watch the stingray get fed and come back up again) but it was still a unique opportunity. The viewing area to watch the sharks is expansive, so if you want to watch a bunch of sharks swimming without paying 100$ you can just sit there and watch them swim. Another section of the park has dolphin encounters, which I didn't do as they are very expensive and I was already doing the shark tank trek, but if you go to that area you can see two of the world's only wholfins (half whale half dolphin or her daughter who is a quarter whale a 3/4 dolphin). The main downside is the admission price - I would recommend trying to find a coupon for 1/2 price although if you do decide to do one of the more expensive encounters I believe admission is included.

Visited the park with my family 2 days ago
Overall:
Visited the park with my family 2 days ago. The park is much smaller than I imagined. We rode a shuttle there and had 2.5 hours to visit. Given the limited exhibits, that was WAY to long to wait. We were finished touring the park in about 45 minutes. They have a very limited number of exhibits: an aquarium with hammerhead sharks, a Ray and other fish; a dolphin exhibit; a very small penguin habitat; ... morea pond with large turtles; and a bird exhibit. That's about it. If you have kids under the age of 12, it might be worth the trip. Otherwise, I would find another attraction to visit.

The sea turtle exhibit is amazing those guys are huge and you can feed them like
Overall:
The sea turtle exhibit is amazing those guys are huge and you can feed them like floating hungry hungry hippos. The entrance starts in sharp aquarium with live hammerhead sharks. The park is extremely small, can see all animals in 30minutes, they have a nice dolphin show if you have time to wait for it.

liked the park itself
Overall:
liked the park itself. Would never pay full price to go once. definitely not worth the cost for dolphin swim encounter. Felt like it was geared towards getting as many people in, taking advantage of foreign tourists and I LIVED there. Shuffling you in and out, taking turns posing for pictures that you can buy afterwards, the alloted time listed includes the preview video, changing and walking to and ... morefrom the pool so time with dolphin is less. Less stress on education and information and hard to enjoy quality interaction when you have to participate in staged posing for individual photos and horrible, amateur video that is overpriced. I would recommend dolphin quest over sea life. For many this is a once in a lifetime experience that is VERY expensive. I would not recommend doing it here. Too touristy and staged.
