Description:
Have you ever spent time on a working cattle ranch? The Parker Ranch Visitor Center & Museum is an actual working cattle ranch, founded in 1847, and is one of the largest in the United States. The ranch owns more than 30,000 cattle and over a thousand acres of land, and continues to prosper to this very day, though they have expanded to estate holding, commercial leasing, and tourism in their business model.

The ranch allows you to take a horseback tour. You can experience ranch life while touring the vast ranch, traveling through amazing landscape with Mauna Kea Mountain in the distance. As an honorary cowboy (or cowgirl), you can glimpse cattle, wild pigs, pheasant, and many other wildlife and domestic ranch animals. You can also visit the Rodeo Arena and racetrack. If you don't feel like having a horse underneath you don't worry: all-terrain vehicles are also available for the tour.

If you're a hunter, you might also want to look into the half day or full day hunts that the ranch offers. If you're less adventurous, there's always the museum and shop, allowing you to take in the ranch life without actually becoming a part of it. Whether you want to ride horseback, go on an exciting hunt, or take in the history of ranch life in the museum, this is one opportunity that you don't want to miss!
