Swanzy Beach Park was a donation by Julie Judd Swanzie to the City and County of Honolulu of 5 acres of land that she inherited from her father for the purpose of creating a beach. The land was given to the city in exchange of them having to abandon their plan to building a public beach park in close proximity to private homes. The park is located on Oahu windward coast between Ka'a'awa Point and Kahana Bay. There is not much of a beach left, much has been washed away. A seawall has been built to protect the park.
Swanzy Beach Park is perfect for camping, picnic, and for fishing. Many locals calm to the area to fish particular octopus.Swimming is not very ideal, you should be careful if you do decide to swim as there are many rocks in the sand. camping is permitted on weekends, but you will need to obtain a permit from the City. The park has a children playground, and there are picnic tables, restrooms and showers.
A hiking trail that starts off from Swanzy Beach Park and considered as one of the most difficult hike which goes all the way to Puu Manamana. Getting to the end of the hike provides one of the most specular views that Oahu has.
