Huelo is another small town
located on the northern shore of Maui, it is often known as an old village of
Hawaii forgotten by the time. People on a trip to Hana, often overlook the road
to Huelo where the ocean is a little wild, and the waves strike the lava cliffs.
The village is calm and serene, and gives familiar experience of early Hawaiian
times.
The Hoalua Bay and Waipo
Bay include few wonderful beaches, here one can perform adventurous activities
like surfing, swimming, sunning, and snorkeling as well. Driving 15 minutes
from Huelo will take you to Hookipa beach which is quite popular for Aloha
classic windsurfing. If you are looking for an exciting vacation, Huelo will
be a perfect destination. With hiking and horseback riding, one can explore some
petite and coastal towns of Makawao and Paia.
Besides being an
adventurous place, it is also historic. Kaulanapueo Church is one of the oldest
and historic churches in Huelo, it was built with classic England style of
design in 1853. Very less number of people reside in the village; the people here
serve delicious meals and offer superior vacation rentals. This is a very quiet
