Huelo is another small town located on the northern shore of Maui, it is often known as an old village of Hawaii forgotten by the time. People on a trip to Hana, often overlook the road to Huelo where the ocean is a little wild, and the waves strike the lava cliffs. The village is calm and serene, and gives familiar experience of early Hawaiian times.

The Hoalua Bay and Waipo Bay include few wonderful beaches, here one can perform adventurous activities like surfing, swimming, sunning, and snorkeling as well. Driving 15 minutes from Huelo will take you to Hookipa beach which is quite popular for Aloha classic windsurfing. If you are looking for an exciting vacation, Huelo will be a perfect destination. With hiking and horseback riding, one can explore some petite and coastal towns of Makawao and Paia.

Besides being an adventurous place, it is also historic. Kaulanapueo Church is one of the oldest and historic churches in Huelo, it was built with classic England style of design in 1853. Very less number of people reside in the village; the people here serve delicious meals and offer superior vacation rentals.
