Glass beach

Glass Beach

Highlights:
  • Fantastic view
  • Exploring and beach combing
  • Hawaiian monk seal
Description:

Glass beach is a really interesting place to see, if you are in Hawaii you shouldn’t miss this spot. The beach is full of glass, be it glasses from windows, bottles, windshields or flasks. You will be delighted to see millions and billions of glass pieces scattered all over the beach. Over a period of time, the tide had polished the glass pieces and made it look frosty and smooth. It is located in Hanapepe, which is an industrial place in Kauai. The shoreline is filled with colors including blue, aqua, brown and other colored pebbles.

Though the beach is not mentioned in many guidebooks, and nobody directs you to the place, still the view of the place will make you feel the magic of nature. However, don’t collect any glasses from here to let other people enjoy it for many long years. You can easily find the beach; try to look out for large gasoline tanks nearby Port Allen. Couples can have a fun time here, they can play with their spouses and relax in a comfortable chair (get it from your home!). You can sometimes even find a monk seal relaxing on the black rocks. Don’t forget to get your camera to take back the sweet memories.
