An Exotic Trail Leads To An Island Treasure

A leisurely sightseeing ride with a unique island destination: Silver Falls. Even the most avid horse lover will enjoy a break after time in the saddle; that's when your trusty mount delivers you to the cool refreshing mountain pool at Silver Falls. But first, there is a journey into Kauai's heartland, magnificent views of the Makaleha mountain range and a stroll through our tropical botanical preserve.

After all this, you'll have worked up an appetite. Savor a delicious local picnic while relaxing in a palm-thatched hut. Teriyaki Chicken (or vegetarian/vegan Taro by request), Steamed Rice, Chilled Tropical-Coleslaw, Macadamia Nut Shortbread and island fruit juices gives everybody a new burst of energy for the short ride home.

After a great ride, don't forget to tip your guide and give your faithful mount a kiss goodbye. They'll both appreciate it.

A Unique Corner of Paradise

Silver Falls Ranch riding trails are the most lush and beautiful on the island. All rides begin with a riding orientation and safety briefing, then your small group, riding at a comfortable walking pace will explore this 300 acre private estate in Kalihiwai's lush interior valley. Tours pass through an eighty-acre tropical garden where over 150 different species of palm trees thrive. Wind your way along the peaceful Pohakuhonu stream lined with ferns and hibiscus blossoms, or the rushing Pookaele stream that feeds our featured waterfall pool. The ranch presents a multitude of unusual flora including wild orchids. Strawberry and blueberry guavas await sampling when in season. Breathtaking up-close views of the 2,800 foot Makaleha mountain range and its secluded high valley will astonish you. All rides through this magnificent environment leave you with indelible memories of a unique tropical experience.

H Tours Hawaii is a "one stop shop" for all the best activities in the Hawaiian Islands. Since we work with many providers, reservations are necessary. WE HIGHLY recommend making reservations, as many activities are at a discount when you reserve in advance. Some providers even charge higher for those "walking in" because they know chances are you're not going to walk away. Finally, a reservation ensures you have a space on the tour. Trust us you don't want to spend so much time and money to come to Hawaii and then miss out on an activity because they were booked out!
Choose the tour you are interested in, click the red “Book It” button adjacent to the tour information, and complete the booking form.
Most companies, if not all, require you to call them if you're trying to book something 2-3 days in advance. Do you really want to be spending your valuable time in Hawaii calling around to desperately find something that is available to do? While we can usually accommodate most last-minute bookings, we highly encourage those that are checking out our website far in advance to book 2-3 weeks prior to desired date. You never know if there's a convention, special event, or an increase in overall visitors in town, and it would be a shame if the activities that you want to do are sold out because you waited until the last minute. Basically, if you know you want to do it, just book it!

Morning ride
My wife and I took the am ride with Greg as our guide. The beautiful lady who checked us in, Skylar, I think it was, was super friendly. Don't miss out on meeting Neil Diamond, too. It was just the 3 of us, Greg, my wife and I, which was great. Greg is very knowledgable, and not just about horses. From history to the agriculture and more. The horse did well. The meal was not over the top, but simple ... moreand good. The 'waterfall' isn't really, more of a cascade. It's swimmable though the water is cooler than the ocean, and also clean. We would ride with them again. My wife is experienced with horses, I however am not, yet they catered to us both.
Fabulous ride on beautiful Kauai
We had a fabulous ride to silver falls Horses were great, guide was informative and although it was raining when we got there we were given raincoats and had been informed from the beginning we ride rain or shine, I had 2 beginners and myself who was an advanced ride but had bad knees so its hard for me to mount. They were very helpful and safety is a important factor Really enjoyed the day
Lovely experience while visiting Kauai. One of our favorite things we did the whole trip... which says A LOT considering all the amazing things there are to do on the island. Excellent horse care which is a must for us and great customer service. Loved swimming in your private mountain lagoon. Gorgeous views on your trail and great guides and horses!
My wife and I booked a ride here during the first week of November. My first time riding a horse. They did a great job of matching me up with a horse that fit my size (6'2" 275) and my skill level. He was well trained and I didn't have to try hard to get him to work with me. Enjoyed the ride and the waterfall swim. The guide gave us a lot of interesting information about the ranch and about Kauai ... morein general. Lunch was a bit light but I'd rather have that than be full of food while riding. I would definitely ride here again.
