Frequently Asked Questions
While we can usually accommodate most last-minute bookings, we highly encourage those that are checking out our website far in advance to book 2-3 weeks prior to desired date. You never know if there's a convention, special event, or a increase in overall visitors in town, and it would be a shame if the activities that you want to do are sold out because you waited until the last minute. Basically, if you know you want to do it, just book it!
Most companies have a set of centrally located hotels that they do pick ups from. Since Waikiki is a very small area, if they do not pick up at your hotel, it will be from another one that will be a 3-5 minute walk. This makes the pickup process short so you can start the tour as soon as possible!
Good question! The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is open to the public without admission. The benefit of joining us on a visit to Pearl Harbor is we have preferred ticketing to the USS Arizona Memorial, having a guided tour of the Visitor Center, and historical narration from our expert guides throughout the day.
You still must make reservations if you wish to join us on tour. Preferred ticketing means that we are able to secure program tickets to the USS Arizona Memorial and the screening of the pre-boat ride movie. Tickets to the USS Arizona Memorial are limited each day, and by touring with us, we secure your tickets for you. Also saving you time in line.

We take your tour personally, so rest assured that we will do our best to make sure that your requests are met and your tour is a perfect experience.
Our tour guides are our main assets to us, and you. After completing an intense 2 week training course in driving safety, Hawaiian culture, United States and Hawaiian History, customer service, and First Aid and CPR training, they become Hawaii's Ambassadors of Aloha.

Additionally, we are an Authorized Transportation provider for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and conduct tours to the world’s most active volcano, Mt. Kilauea.
Yes, all of our short tours stop for snacks and half-day and full-day Circle Island Tours include lunch. Don’t worry, you will have time to feed your baby. For those tours with lunch, we proudly feature options that are prepared fresh daily from local ingredients by an exclusive provider, these tours stop at a secluded beach to rest and enjoy your meal.
At this time, our vehicles can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs only. We do not have a wheelchair lift. We ask that you let us know at the time of booking your tour that you will be traveling with a collapsible wheelchair so that we are able to make sure you are fully accommodated.
We do not provide or rent car seats at this time and the law does not require car seats on tour buses. If you wish to bring one, you will have to pay the cost for the seat on tour.
Yes, we have scheduled bathroom stops along the routes that coincide with scenic lookouts, beaches, and other stops and attractions throughout your tour. Should you require additional stops please let your tour guide know at the beginning of the tour and we will be more than happy to accommodate your request.
For your safety, please check with your doctor and find out if there are any limitations to your touring. Some sites have more medical concerns than others, like the Volcano on the Big Island, so be sure to find out of any restrictions you may have and we need to be aware of.
Yes, we have been working successfully with travelers of all ages since our inception and we wouldn't have it any other way! We do ask parents to keep their children under control at all times for the child’s safety and the enjoyment of others. Hiking tours are not recommended for infants, toddlers, and seniors who may have trouble climbing uneven terrain.
Yes, admission to Pearl Harbor is free. As is the film about the Pearl Harbor attack and the boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial. Our tours consist of much more than that. Besides the transportation, your tour includes a narrated drive from Waikiki to Pearl Harbor with a professional guide. Both the guide and narration enhance your experience at Pearl Harbor and the round-trip transportation saves the headaches of driving and finding parking (the parking lot is currently under construction) When you’re unfamiliar with an area, it can be difficult to navigate the roads and highways. Following your program at the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Park, your guide takes you to many places that you may not get to see on your own. Imagine that you are driving through downtown Honolulu, and you pass the beautiful Iolani Palace, not knowing what it is you’re seeing, or the history of the treasured palace. With your friendly guide, you will know exactly what you’re seeing, its history, and maybe even an inside fact or two.
Availability here changes constantly. We can tell you something is available and then 5 minutes later someone else books and its not available anymore. If you make a booking and your activity is not available, then you will not be charged. No hassles, no worries!
H Tours Hawaii is a "one stop shop" for all the best activities in the Hawaiian Islands. Since we work with many providers, reservations are necessary. WE HIGHLY recommend making reservations, as many activities are at a discount when you reserve in advance. Some providers even charge higher for those "walking in" because they know chances are you're not going to walk away. Finally, a reservation ensures you have a space on the tour. Trust us you don't want to spend so much time and money to come to Hawaii and then miss out on an activity because they were booked out!
Choose the tour you are interested in, click the red “Book It” button adjacent to the tour information, and complete the booking form.

Went on this tour Tuesday October 1 with my son and his girlfriend. Being of Polynesian heritage we really enjoyed the Cultural centre. We would all like to say our experience was unforgettable due to the experience and knowledge as well as the outstanding service provided by our tour guide who I think was called Kona. Being an older man his knowledge of Hawaii and it's culture was unbelievable. We ... morewould appreciate it if you could pass on our thanks and compliments to this wonderful man. He is a real asset to your organisation and would be the reason we would book again with your company.

This was a great tour! "Cousin Kevin", a local boy, did a great job sharing the heart of the people of Hawaii with us! It was good to get helpful hints as to how to move thru the sites during our visit. Many blessings to Kevin and all who helped make our short stay on Oahu enjoyable!
