Frequently Asked Questions
H Tours Hawaii is a "one stop shop" for all the best activities in the Hawaiian Islands. Since we work with many providers, reservations are necessary. WE HIGHLY recommend making reservations, as many activities are at a discount when you reserve in advance. Some providers even charge higher for those "walking in" because they know chances are you're not going to walk away. Finally, a reservation ensures you have a space on the tour. Trust us you don't want to spend so much time and money to come to Hawaii and then miss out on an activity because they were booked out!
Most companies have a set of centrally located hotels that they do pick ups from. Since Waikiki is a very small area, if they do not pick up at your hotel, it will be from another one that will be a 3-5 minute walk. This makes the pickup process short so you can start the tour as soon as possible!
Choose the tour you are interested in, click the red “Book It” button adjacent to the tour information, and complete the booking form.
Yes, when you book this tour, the tour company gets the ticket for you in advance, so you don't have to wait in queue, and you don't have to risk showing up to Pearl Harbor & the tickets being sold out.
Most companies, if not all, require you to call them if you're trying to book something 2-3 days in advance. Do you really want to be spending your valuable time in Hawaii calling around to desperately find something that is available to do? While we can usually accommodate most last-minute bookings, we highly encourage those that are checking out our website far in advance to book 2-3 weeks prior to desired date. You never know if there's a convention, special event, or an increase in overall visitors in town, and it would be a shame if the activities that you want to do are sold out because you waited until the last minute. Basically, if you know you want to do it, just book it!

Great tour
Overall:
We absolutely loved this tour and you cannot beat the cost! HToursHawaii has done a fantastic job at working with third party tour companies to provide excellent service. Our driver was awesome and really funny. The tour comprised of a guided tour throughout Oahu, followed by a short film about the history of Pearl Harbor, and lastly a boat ride to Pear Harbor. We got to pay our respects and got to ... moresee where the Arizona lies. It was definitely worth the experience! It's a must do if you are visiting Oahu.

“Our tour guide, Tony, was the best!”
Overall:
Tony was very knowledgable about Honolulu, Pearl Harbor and the politics surrounding WWII. He recited Roosevelt's declaration of war speech on the way to Pearl Harbor, gave great insight into the people buried in the Punchbowl cemetery, and also drove by the eating establishments I had seen featured on the Food Network. This was my first time to Hawaii, and as we were going on a cruise, came in a ... moreday early to have an opportunity to see these highlights. Tony was patient and navigated the horrible traffic like the pro he is. He answered all questions asked of him and had recommendations for those staying on in Honolulu.

Pearl Harbor Tour
Overall:
Pretty good, you watch a 30 minute movie about the attack and then take a boat out to the memorial. That is where you see the sunken ship below and all the names of the fallen. Its one of those things you have to see while in Hawaii, I'm glad I did it this way because I got back to the hotel in the afternoon.

“Great Trip”
Overall:
The bus picked us up right at our hotel and was on time! We appreciated this especially since we were up so early and ready to go! Our driver was great and did a wonderful job giving us the history of not only Pearl Harbor, but also the history of Hawaii. He was very friendly and informative. We had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone looking for an easy way to see Pearl Harbor.

Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City Highlights
Overall:
Very good tour, the bus driver was very informative and answered all the questions he was asked. He gave us details on how best to tour around the museums and get into the movie so we got the most out of our time there. Unfortunately the day we went was very windy and they were not running the boats out to the memorial. This was no fault of the tour company as they have no control over this. This ... morewas the only glitch in a very good tour.

“Pearl Harbor tour”
Overall:
Our bus driver was very friendly and made the whole trip very enjoyable. He made sure we all connected with each other and created a true group. While the Pearl Harbor experience itself was a very repetitive tour, the bus tour was highly enjoyable and informative. Not only did he tell us a lot about the attacks on Pearl Harbor, he also told us a lot of information about the history of the people of ... moreHawaii and specifically that of the people of Oahu.

“Good times!”
Overall:
This tour was good value for the price. Great guide and enough time allowed to see the main sights of Honolulu and Pearl Harbor. You could easily spend all day at Pearl Harbor, but this is enough to appreciate the history. Its a good amount of time especially if you have young kids.

Great Tour
Overall:
Very happy with the Pearl Harbor Tour on April 11th. Our driver/tour guide was Ben. He was polite, punctual, patient, helpful, and quite entertaining. Would definitely book another tour with Polynesian Adventure Tours!

Tour Guide Host: Ernel ("like Kernel Sanders, just drop the K.") made this tour amazing. He is the GREATEST Tour Guide EVER! He is full of energy, warm, naturally comical and knowledgable. He was our host during the bus travel from our pick up to our drop off, but was not our host for the actual Pearl Harbor tour. It was a disappointment that he wasn't he is so great! If you do the Pearl Harbor the ... moreonly thing I recommend is being paired with a tour guide who speaks english clearly. When I went I had a tour guide whom english was not his first language and it was extremely difficult and frustrating to concentrate to follow and to get good info on factual things that occurred. I ended up bailing that tour guide to another group. I had to do it. I am glad I made that call, but should have done so from the get go.

If visiting the USS Missouri stop on in at the Canteen food eatery on the premises. I HIGHLY recommend eating here the cheese burger is great!

P.S.
FYI: At Pearl Harbor they inform that it is NOT funded at all by the our government financially. This sickens me and that the funds come from donations and Veterans and Volunteers help run and keep Pearl Harbor operating. Please support and contribute to any funds that you can while you are there. Please spread the word. This is a remarkable place. It's a memorial and many lives were lost and many remains that remain at Pearl Harbor. A somber experience, but a MUST do and see. Please also remember that this is a memorial and not a play ground for clowning around. Many are not aware of that and there are a lot of people that pay respect to those who gave their lives. Thank you.

Fantastic!
Overall:
Took a tour with this company to Pearl Harbor and everything was just fantastic. We flew in from Maui and was greeted by a friendly lady who explained how everything was going to work. Our transportation guide was a hoot and named our group "the cousins" so we would know when our group would be heading to the different places. He was quite informative and gave us info that even some of the tour guides ... moreleft out! He had us all on schedule and those of us back in time to catch our flight back to Maui. I would highly recommend this tour company.

I'm a big fan of Gray Line Tours and that's essentially what Polynesian Adventure Tours is. Same company or affiliation. I've taken lots of Gray Line's tours and knew that I couldn't go wrongdoing one in Honolulu as well. We did the Pearl Harbor, Arizona Memorial and Punchbowl tour. The driving portion got a little much around the end and I would have loved to have had the opportunity to get out of ... morethe bus at Punchbowl. I fully realize though that the bus is not allowed and out of respect for the people buried here, it's just not appropriate. Our driver was great, full of anecdotes and information. He did have a thick accent and it was hard to understand him at times. I completely recommend this tour as well as Polynesian Adventure Tours of course. Good bang for your tourist buck!
