Description:
Snorkel among Maui's green sea turtles

Turtles, manta rays, exotic tropical fish… the Pali coastline, the Pali Coastline, and particularly Coral Gardens, features a unique blend of coral and sea life tucked into the cliffs near the West Maui mountains that are only accessible by boat. Feel the wind in your hair and the ocean spray as we set out for an adventure fueled by the afternoon trade winds.

This adventure aboard Paragon II often features boat speeds in excess of 20 knots, as the afternoon trade winds fuel this three-hour excursion.

Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, exceptional snorkelling and performance sailing aboard Paragon II ~ the perfect outing for a Maui afternoon.

Hang on to your hats as we set sail across Ma’alaea Bay. An exhilarating ride takes us to our destination, Coral Gardens, a cove sheltered from the wind where the snorkeling conditions are typically ideal. The reef here is teeming with life, so keep your eyes out for all kinds of creatures; especially honu, Hawaii’s renowned green sea turtle. Once we’re back aboard the boat, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks as we head out for an exciting performance sail back to the harbor. This three hour excursion is the perfect outing for a Maui afternoon. Kids sail half price!

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We provide snorkel gear and will fit you for correct size. We also have a few optical masks on board, so let us know if you require one and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. If you wish to bring your own gear you are more than welcome.
Please do. Sail Maui does not provide towels, however we do keep a small inventory on the boat for purchase.
A hat, sunglasses, camera, and reusable water bottle are at the top of our list. If you’re joining us on a sunset sail, especially during the winter months, you may want to bring a light jacket.
Sail Maui catamarans Paragon and Paragon II go to one snorkel site per trip. We specialize in performance sailing, so rather than motoring around to multiple spots, we’ll hit our favorite and then go for an exhilarating sail.
Spray-on sunscreen has a tendency to go everywhere, including the deck, which can make maneuvering around the boat quite slippery and hazardous. It’s also generally very toxic to the ocean environment, and we are huge advocates of using reef-safe sunscreen to preserve our marine ecosystem.
Yes, Sail Maui provides reef-safe sunscreen as a courtesy on both of our boats. We highly recommend using ours or another marine friendly sunscreen, as chemicals in conventional brands wash off your skin while snorkeling and can kill coral and promote bleaching.
We sure hope so! We frequently see dolphins however, dolphins are wild animals and while we will do our best, we can never guarantee that you will see them or any other wild marine life.
You betcha. Authentic sailing is what we’re all about, and it’s what sets us apart from the rest. If we have wind, we will definitely be sailing, and usually we have plenty.

H Tours Hawaii is a "one stop shop" for all the best activities in the Hawaiian Islands. Since we work with many providers, reservations are necessary. WE HIGHLY recommend making reservations, as many activities are at a discount when you reserve in advance. Some providers even charge higher for those "walking in" because they know chances are you're not going to walk away. Finally, a reservation ensures you have a space on the tour. Trust us you don't want to spend so much time and money to come to Hawaii and then miss out on an activity because they were booked out!
Choose the tour you are interested in, click the red “Book It” button adjacent to the tour information, and complete the booking form.
Most companies, if not all, require you to call them if you're trying to book something 2-3 days in advance. Do you really want to be spending your valuable time in Hawaii calling around to desperately find something that is available to do? While we can usually accommodate most last-minute bookings, we highly encourage those that are checking out our website far in advance to book 2-3 weeks prior to desired date. You never know if there's a convention, special event, or an increase in overall visitors in town, and it would be a shame if the activities that you want to do are sold out because you waited until the last minute. Basically, if you know you want to do it, just book it!
Gratuity is never required but if you enjoyed your experience, a tip is always greatly appreciated!
Yes there's a couple of areas on the boat where you can get shade.

Amazing!
Overall:
We did 2 tours with these guys early December and they were absolutely amazing! We did West Maui and the Lahaina Champagne and Sunset tours. The Sunset tour was beautiful (stunning views) and very romantic. West Maui was 5 hours and included snorkeling, lunch, and beverages. We saw countless whales on this tour. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, fun and welcoming. We will definitely do another ... moretour with them next time we visit Maui.

Thrilling experience!
Overall:
Paragon had a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The trip home was a thrill ride and our whole family loved it! I would recommend taking Dramamine ahead of time though, just to be on the safe side. My son and I did experience a bit of seasickness, but we took some Dramamine and were good to go on the way back. Prepare to get soaked if you sit in the front!

Fun loving professional crew
Overall:
We felt very welcomed from the start. Chelsi, Ron, and the Capt (cool dude who is a windsurfing champ) made us all feel at home while still maintaining proper safety. The food was plentiful and lots of beverages to keep us hydrated. The Paragon II was a very fast cat as evidenced by the fact that we overtook a Trilogy boat and left it in the rear view mirror while coming in. Add to the fact that as ... morewe were overcoming our prey, I mean neighbor, the crew put on the Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries (music from Apocalypse Now helicopter attack scene). Very cool. We did need a pirate flag to hoist to complete the effect though. All in all, it was fun, the snorkeling was amazing and I would definitely do it again with this company.
