While we can usually accommodate most last-minute bookings, we highly encourage those that are checking out our website far in advance to book 2-3 weeks prior to desired date. You never know if there's a convention, special event, or a increase in overall visitors in town, and it would be a shame if the activities that you want to do are sold out because you waited until the last minute. Basically, if you know you want to do it, just book it!

My wife and I were on vacation in Hawaii and booked an inter-island flight and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park tour with Discover Hawaii Tours. I wanted to leave a review to tell everyone how great the tour was, even though we never got to see the volcanoes…The reason we couldn't see the volcanoes was that they had recently erupted putting too much sulfur in the air and making it unsafe to breath. ... moreAt first we were disappointed because we had come all the way to see the volcanoes and our day would be ruined, but the team at Discover Hawaii Tours helped save our day. They were able to adjust the tour on the fly and bring us to some really amazing sites that we would not have been able to see otherwise, such as: Akaka Falls (amazing rainbow), Mauna loa macadamia nut farms, and orchid farms/nurseries. Our driver, Jonathon, couldn't have been more accommodating and knowledgeable about the local spots to hit. Thanks! Check out the pics.At the end of the day, I think the best part about traveling is having unexpected things occur, and experiencing something different along the way. Sure we didn't get to see the volcanoes, but we did get to experience a little bit of what Hawaii locals do on a daily basis. Where else in the world are your plans interrupted by a volcano?Going forward we always recommend Discover Hawaii Tours to all our friends because of our experience – they couldn't have been more helpful from start to finish.Aloha
My husband and I recently went to the Big Island with Discover Hawaii Tours after hearing so much about it from my brother who did the tour a month before. Our guide Phoenix was fantastic! We really had a good time, I have been talking to all of my friends about it. We saw a lot of very cool places around Hilo that we would have otherwise probably missed. The Volcanoes National Park was one of the ... morehighlights of the tour, second of course to the lava viewing. The tour was amazing, we had a really great day and made some friends along the way too. The only downside was that we forgot to pack a light jacket and we got rained on throughout the day, but the rain made for some amazing waterfall pics! Thanks again Phoenix!
As we were winding up our jam packed vacation in Hawaii, we reflected upon what was our favorite excursion. My favorite day was the tour of the Big Island and the volcano, hands down. John was our tour guide, and he is absolutely fabulous. He is very knowledgeable of facts about Hawaii's history, ecosystem, volcanoes and all sorts of other things. I learned a lot facts about flowers especially the ... morehibiscus/lowbiscus Seriously though, John really made the trip extra special, educational and very entertaining. Thats a great combination This tour is definitely worth every penny, and I would recommend it to everyone We didnt get to see lava on the day we were there, but once it got dark, the lava pool glowed and the smoke/steam coming from the pool was spectacular Thanks again John, for making such a lasting impression on our trip to the Big Island. I will be back, and anytime I'm in need of a tour, I will definitely be calling on you guys MAHALO
