Description:
SAIL WITH US TO THE EXCLUSIVE ISLAND OF LANAIWe are proud to offer a destination snorkel sail to the exclusive island of Lana’i. Join us on Paragon to discover why the island has been named one of the TOP 10 snorkel destinations in the world. Once known as the pineapple island, Lana’i is now famous for remote tropical beaches and tide pools, pristine reefs, and of course the spinner dolphins that frequent Manele Bay. On your honey moon? Ask the crew about the breathtaking hike to check out Sweetheart Rock, and see why Travel + Leisure named Lana’i the No. 12 Most Romantic Island on the globe. The adventure begins in Lahaina Harbor where we set sail across the Au’ au’ channel to Lana’i. A continental breakfast featuring some of Hawaii’s tastiest tropical fruit is served as you enjoy the panoramic view of the islands of Maui, Moloka’i, Kaho’olawe, and Lana’i. Our first stop is Manele Bay, a lush and healthy coral reef and marine preserve where you’ll be able to spot all sorts of sea life! Once on Lana’i, Hulopo’e beach is just a 10 minute stroll away, one of the most stunning beaches in Hawaii. Enjoy your lunch at one of the many picnic tables, under a palm tree, or stretched out on the golden sand. Feel free to take our snorkel gear with you, as the reef here is just as beautiful! On the return sail, we’ll pass out drinks and set our sails for Maui. Depending on conditions, Paragon often stops just off the coast of Lahaina and invites you to jump in for a blue water swim, the perfect end to a perfect day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We provide snorkel gear and will fit you for correct size. We also have a few optical masks on board, so let us know if you require one and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. If you wish to bring your own gear you are more than welcome.
Please do. Sail Maui does not provide towels, however we do keep a small inventory on the boat for purchase.
A hat, sunglasses, camera, and reusable water bottle are at the top of our list. If you’re joining us on a sunset sail, especially during the winter months, you may want to bring a light jacket.
It’s a short 10 minute walk from Manele Harbor to the beach park. Guests that are unable or choose not to venture to the beach have access to picnic tables, shade, and facilities in the harbor area.
We can provide vegetarian or gluten free options through our catering companies, although people with severe nut allergies or who have celiac disease should be aware that we cannot guarantee there has been no cross contamination.
Sail Maui catamarans Paragon and Paragon II go to one snorkel site per trip, although you will also have the option to snorkel from Hulopo’e Beach on our Lana’i trip. We specialize in performance sailing, so rather than motoring around to multiple spots, we’ll hit our favorite and then go for an exhilarating sail.
Spray-on sunscreen has a tendency to go everywhere, including the deck, which can make maneuvering around the boat quite slippery and hazardous. It’s also generally very toxic to the ocean environment, and we are huge advocates of using reef-safe sunscreen to preserve our marine ecosystem.
Yes, Sail Maui provides reef-safe sunscreen as a courtesy on both of our boats. We highly recommend using ours or another marine friendly sunscreen, as chemicals in conventional brands wash off your skin while snorkeling and can kill coral and promote bleaching.
We sure hope so! We frequently see dolphins, especially on our Lana’i trip, however, dolphins are wild animals and while we will do our best, we can never guarantee that you will see them or any other wild marine life.
You betcha. Authentic sailing is what we’re all about, and it’s what sets us apart from the rest. If we have wind, we will definitely be sailing, and usually we have plenty.
Click on the red "Book It" button and you will see live availability. Keep in mind availability changes constantly, so make sure to book in advance!
H Tours Hawaii is a "one stop shop" for all the best activities in the Hawaiian Islands. Since we work with many providers, reservations are necessary. WE HIGHLY recommend making reservations, as many activities are at a discount when you reserve in advance. Some providers even charge higher for those "walking in" because they know chances are you're not going to walk away. Finally, a reservation ensures you have a space on the tour. Trust us you don't want to spend so much time and money to come to Hawaii and then miss out on an activity because they were booked out!
Choose the tour you are interested in, click the red “Book It” button adjacent to the tour information, and complete the booking form.
Most companies, if not all, require you to call them if you're trying to book something 2-3 days in advance. Do you really want to be spending your valuable time in Hawaii calling around to desperately find something that is available to do? While we can usually accommodate most last-minute bookings, we highly encourage those that are checking out our website far in advance to book 2-3 weeks prior to desired date. You never know if there's a convention, special event, or an increase in overall visitors in town, and it would be a shame if the activities that you want to do are sold out because you waited until the last minute. Basically, if you know you want to do it, just book it!
Gratuity is never required but if you enjoyed your experience, a tip is always greatly appreciated!
