The population of Kapa’a is about 9,500 people and is considered to be the largest town of Kauai. You’ll find many small boutique stores, a large shopping center, and other shopping opportunities. If you’re hungry try one of the many restaurants found in the city that will make your mouth water. Vacationers can enjoy affordable and cozy lodgings in the resorts and hotels in Poipu and Princeville areas. There are various types of hotels from luxurious to homey, all for you to pick from and just a stone’s throw away from Kapa’a.

You’ll find a lot of beaches around Kapa’a and various beach parks that will make for an entertaining day out if shopping isn’t how you plan to spend your day. These pristine beaches make for a spectacular day out. If you want to go swimming try Lydgate Beach Park, at the north end. Take pictures and enjoy the serenity of the Wailua River, Wailua Falls, and Opaeka’a Falls as well. This is one of the main shopping areas found on the island of Kauai.
